Since July 21, a 14-year-old girl from Gottenheim (Baden-Württemberg) has been sought. The body of the missing person has now been found in a lake about 300 kilometers from her parents’ house.
A forensic examination of a female body discovered Friday brought the girl’s next of kin to the sad certainty: Ayleen is dead. The student left her parental home in Gottenheim on July 21 at 6 p.m. According to media reports, Ayleen wanted to return a sweater to a friend. But she never got there. Police officers had also tried to find the youths with dogs and supported by a police helicopter.
Lots of eyewitness evidence
Police did not release any further details about the case on Saturday night. Questions related to the investigation will be answered during a press conference on Monday. Since the girl’s disappearance, the detectives have received more than a hundred tips. An eyewitness claims to have seen Ayleen, among others, on the day of her disappearance on a highway bridge near Freiburg, accompanied by a girl of probably the same age.
