“Fortunately, everything turned out well,” says Karin S., the daughter of 100-year-old Maria K., relieved that her mother has finally found a place in a retirement home. As reported, the 100-year-old lived alone in her Freistadt (Upper Austria) apartment until she had a serious fall. After that, however, this was no longer possible.
The search for a home for the elderly woman turned out to be more than difficult. The “Krone” was able to help successfully: a temporary place was found in the retirement home in Lasberg for three weeks. “Last Friday, the magistrate of Linz contacted us and said they might have a place for my mother,” said Karin S.
And indeed – a bed became available in the Sonnenhof retirement home. On Tuesday, the senior was taken from Lasberg to Linz and moved to her new double room: “It is a huge relief and also better for the grandchildren because everyone lives near Linz. She feels good,” the daughter says happily.
