Waste Watcher in Vienna threatened with pocket knife because of cigarette

Date:

When a waste guard asked a passerby in Vienna on Wednesday to properly dispose of his cigarette, the situation escalated and a knife was pulled.

On Wednesday morning, a 30-year-old MA 48 employee in the Allerheiligenpark in the Brigittenau district pointed out to a man that he should not throw his cigarette butts on the floor, but dispose of it properly. However, the 78-year-old addressed did not respond positively to the complaint.

After the suspect first threatened the 30-year-old with a beating, he finally pulled out his knife. It didn’t open, but the Waste Watcher saw this situation as a clear threat.
