Reinforced checks – driver’s license holder caught at 204 km/h

Over the past three days, the “szene open-air festival” has attracted numerous “music fans” to Vorarlberg. The police were also called in, who carried out stricter checks in the vicinity of Lustenau and had a lot to do. In addition to drug and alcohol drivers, a probationary driver’s license who was in a particular hurry was revoked.

During the days of the “Open Air Festival Scene” officials of the state transport service and customs officers, supported by police doctors, carried out checks in the area around Lustenau. A total of 21 drivers were caught under the influence of drugs. Seven alcoholic drivers and six people without a valid driver’s license were also arrested. According to the police, a total of 34 people checked were not allowed to continue their journey.

Illegal narcotics were found on 26 people, one officer refused to accept the traffic control, behaved extremely aggressively and even spat on a police officer during the official act.

A probationary driver who had only had his driver’s license for two weeks was so under the influence of cocaine that he stopped his car seven times (!) for the officers. Another pilot license holder drove at an incredible 204 km/h on the Rheintalautobahn (A14).
