A group of young people was rudely awakened on Tuesday at a barbecue in the Pinzgau municipality of Rauris in Salzburg. The hair and clothing of a 17-year-old caught fire.
To heat the fire, the young people are said to have emptied a cup with about half a liter of gasoline into the fire bowl. The flames therefore rose extremely high and spread to the hair and clothing of a 17-year-old woman standing in front of the fire bowl.
Second degree burns
Those present were able to extinguish the fire on the girl’s body in time with a garden hose. However, she suffered second-degree burns and was taken to Salzburg State Hospital. Who poured the gasoline into the grill is still under investigation.
