At least 11 people were killed in a firefight in the town of Cetinje in central Montenegro on Friday. The public broadcaster RTCG also reported six injuries, including a “member of the police”. The shooter is also among the dead.
A police spokesperson confirmed the figures to AFP news agency.
Gunman shot dead by police
According to RTCG, the perpetrator shot at police officers in Cetinje, 36 kilometers from the capital Podgorica, and was then killed by them. He was reportedly involved in a family conflict.
It is the deadliest gun incident in the country in decades.
