Spectacular accident early Sunday morning in Leutasch in Tirol (Innsbruck-Land district): As he apparently wanted to avoid a wild animal, a young resident lost control of the wheel and ended up over the edge of the road. The car flipped over and then came to a stop on its side. The driver and three other passengers were injured.
The accident happened around 6 a.m., as a police officer explained when asked by “Krone”. The young resident was driving his car on Buchener Landesstraße in the direction of the Weidach district when suddenly a wild animal crossed the road. When he tried to dodge, he lost control of the wheel.
Two occupants cut from wreckage
The car skidded, hit the railing of a bridge and overturned before coming to a stop on the side of the road. All four occupants, all around the age of 18, suffered injuries. Two of them had to be freed from the wreckage by the alarmed fire brigade.
After first aid at the accident site, the injured were taken by ambulance to the Innsbruck clinic or the Hall hospital in Tyrol.
