A 57-year-old cyclist was killed in a traffic accident involving a car in Ottnang am Hausruck in Upper Austria on Sunday afternoon. The man was hit by a car and thrown against the windshield.
A 57-year-old from the Vöcklabruck district was riding his e-bike at 1.30 p.m. on Sunday in the municipal area of Ottnang am Hausruck, coming from Grünbach in the direction of Thomasroither Landesstraße. At the intersection he drove onto the highway and collided with a car coming from the left, driven by a 40-year-old from the Wels-Land district.
The cyclist was hit by the car and thrown against the windshield or over the vehicle. He sustained fatal injuries. The occupants of the car were not injured.
