Great excitement in the German Lake Constance town of Friedrichshafen (Baden-Württemberg)! On Tuesday afternoon, a swimmer discovered a World War II incendiary bomb in the shallow water area.
According to information from a bather, an incendiary bomb was found around 4:15 p.m. in the shallow water zone of the Friedrichshafen lido on Lake Constance and was recovered by agents of the Friedrichshafen Water Protection Police.
These types of bombs are still very dangerous, the police warned. Anyone who finds a suspicious object should therefore not take it out of the water, but only notify the water police of the location – so that their specialists can take care of the removal.
