Hansdampf! Thomas Altendorfer wants to revive two closed restaurants in Graz after the takeover of the insolvent hamburger chain.
This was the first joke and the second will follow right away! It has been known for a week that Thomas Altendorfer is taking over the bankrupt burger restaurant chain Burgerista. The Grieskirchner restaurateur, who already runs 15 gastro restaurants with his wife Petra and other partners, is now full of energy.
The 56-year-old wants to reactivate two Burgerista bars in Graz that are currently closed due to the owner’s bankruptcy, he reveals. “In addition, I now have a number of offers to open new Burgerista restaurants,” says the Upper Austrian.
“In a crisis, fast food is usually the winner”
Despite the inflation, which is forcing the population to austerity, he is not worried about the future of Burgerista. “Especially in a crisis, fast food is usually the winner, because going to a bar is cheaper than going to a restaurant,” Altendorfer says.
