Several fire brigades went to Ledenitzen in Carinthia on Saturday for the traditional Harley parade, in which tens of thousands of fans and motorcyclists participate every year.
For unknown reasons, there was a fire in the adjacent building in Ledenitzen on Saturday shortly before the start of the Harley parade. A total of six fire brigades were alerted by the alarm and warning center (LAWZ).
Neighbor with garden hose in action
“When we arrived on the scene, a dedicated neighbor was already trying to prevent the flames from spreading with a garden hose. We quickly took over the extinguishing work and were able to successfully fight the fire with heavy respiratory protection,” says Werner Klewein, commander of the FF Ledenitzen .
Because Ledenitzen is located in the Faaker See and Harley region, many Harley riders and fans had to give way to the departing armed forces. “There was no incident, the parade did not have to be interrupted,” police said.
