Myanmar reaches by – drugs destroyed: $ 300 million burns here

The military junta in Myanmar (the former Burma, Noot) burned drugs worth $ 300 million on Thursday, on the occasion of the international day against drug abuse and illegal drug trafficking (see video above).

The destruction of opium, heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana and ketamine, according to the military junta, which has actually been ruled in central places of drug production since 1962.

Illegal drug trafficking is booming in Southeast Asia. Above all, the border area that is known as the “Golden Triangle” from Thailand to Myanmar (where there are numerous drug laboratories) and Laos are considered the most important drug treatment in Asia. According to UN, a record amount of Methamfetamine was seized in East and Southeast Asia last year.

The United Nations (UN) has been warning for years of the production of opium, heroin and methamphetamine. Myanmar is one of the largest opium and heroin producers in the world. In 2023 the Un Myanmar mentioned the largest manufacturer of Opium.
