A brave step that shows how serious the situation is! As energy costs skyrocket and the situation becomes increasingly unmanageable, fashion retailer Fussl is testing the opening hours of its stores and the light level there.
On the one hand, it is about saving energy and at the same time reducing your own costs: fashion retailer Fussl wants to kill two birds with one stone by reducing the light intensity and opening hours of its stores.
“Let’s see what is reasonably possible”
The family business Innviertler has already implemented these savings measures at half of its 49 locations in Germany and is now following in Austria. “We look at what is reasonably possible without influencing our customers,” says Ernst Mayr, who runs the Fussl company with his brother Karl.
150 locations in Austria are being tested. The light intensity should be limited to 30%. Depending on the location, the opening hours of the shops may be later or earlier.
