Fire service supplier Rosenbauer is not breaking even: while the financial result halfway through the financial year was minus 23.2 million euros, the result before interest and taxes after three quarters was now even minus 30.5 million euros.
At the end of July, the old boss Dieter Siegel left the chairman of the board and in August Sebastian Wolf took over responsibility at the fire service supplier Rosenbauer. And he has so far not been able to get the coal out of the fire in the current financial year: although turnover increased to 651.2 million euros between January and the end of September, the financial result remained in the red after three quarters: minus 30.5 million euros.
Supply chains eased somewhat
Neo-Rosenbauer’s boss had already made it clear in mid-August that the company needed to become more profitable again. However, the first restructuring measures are currently still ‘in the money’ and after three quarters they put pressure on the result by EUR 5.6 million. After all, there is also positive news – with regard to supply chains. “We’re getting more chassis again,” says Wolf. Since the beginning of November, the Leonding-based company, after all the world’s number one supplier of firefighting equipment, has passed on some of the higher material costs to customers with new offers.
