The Public State Employment Service (SEPE) is reminding on its social networks what happens if you receive a non-contributory benefit, unemployment benefit or active insertion income (RAI) and move abroad. The SEPE reminds that in this case the conditions of your benefit will change depending on the reason and duration of the transfer.

– For reasons of employment of less than one year.

– For employment reasons for one year or more if you receive a non-contributory benefit or unemployment benefit, or for six months or more if you have an active employment income (the benefit or subsidy lapses).

– For other reasons, no more than 15 days (the benefit is retained as long as it can meet the legal obligations).

– For other reasons, more than 15 days and a maximum of 90 (the benefits are suspended).

– If you move to the EU/EEA or Switzerland and want to continue collecting benefits (you can export this benefit for three months, renewable for another three months).

– The SEPE reminds on its website that if you receive a contribution or unemployment benefit, in the case of moving abroad to look for or perform work, for international cooperation actions or professional development, it is mandatory to report this parts before the exit to the State Public Employment Service and that it authorizes it. If the transfer lasts less than twelve consecutive months, the benefit will be suspended, if it lasts longer than twelve months, it will lapse.

– If you receive the RAI, in the case of moving abroad to look for or perform a job, for professional improvement or for international cooperation actions, it is mandatory to report this to the National Employment Office before departure, and that he gives permission. If the transfer takes less than six consecutive months, the benefit will be suspended and will expire for more than six months.

– Failure to notify SEPE of the transfer abroad constitutes an offense which will lead to the initiation of a disciplinary procedure (the sanction may be the nullification of the right).

– If the benefit, subsidy or RAI you received was interrupted when you left Spain and you find yourself without work when you return, you can request the resumption of that benefit or subsidy or reassignment from RAI.

– You will receive the aforementioned benefits from the day after your return to Spain, provided that you request the resumption or redeployment within the period of 15 working days from said date and document one of the reasons indicated.

– You will receive the aforementioned benefits from the day after your return to Spain, provided that you request the resumption or redeployment within 15 working days of said date and document one of the reasons indicated.
