Tobías Martíenz will be able to attend the Ordinary General Meeting to examine the accounts for the 2022 fiscal year, originally scheduled for June 1, 2023
Tobias Martínez Gimeno will step down as CEO of Cellnex effective June 3, the company told the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) on Wednesday.
Following the resignation of Martínez Gimeno, the Board of Directors of Cellnex has put in place the necessary mechanisms for his succession.
The choice of the effective date allows you to attend the annual general meeting that examines the accounts for the year 2022, originally scheduled for June 1, 2023.
«The current economic and financial context, which differs from that which has characterized the successful development of the company’s industrial project over the past eight years, requires us to open a new chapter in the Cellnex story. A new phase based on maximum organic growth; the consolidation of the industrial project in the countries where we operate today; and the focus on balance sheet management with the aim of reaching investment grade”, said Martínez Gimeno in his letter of resignation.
“This set of factors has led me to appreciate the need for this phase of the Cellnex cycle to be led by an individual whose time horizon extends beyond December 2024, when my contract expires,” he adds.
