Logo dispute with winemaker – Red Bull is silent and picks up pace

Date:

Red Bull vs Mattia Muggittu! The crazy logo dispute goes into the next round, the multibillion-dollar Salzburg group is likely to take legal action against a winemaker from Sardinia soon. They still do not want to make public statements.

No answer. All questions of the “Krone” remain unanswered. Beverage giant Red Bull prefers to let promotions speak for themselves. In a crazy argument with a young winegrower from Sardinia, they apparently want to go to court. The Salzburg billion-dollar group wants to ban Italian Mattia Muggittu from continuing to use the logo for his wine. It would supposedly look too much like that of Red Bull.

“I have not copied anything and I am not thinking of changing anything,” the Sardinian remains extremely combative about the “Krone”.

The deadline for a peaceful termination of the logo dispute is coming to an end
Together with his lawyer, he sent a letter to Red Bull and insisted that the logo with two fighting animals could continue to be used. “It’s a tribute to the traditions of Mamoiada,” says Muggittu. To this day, the local vineyards are still plowed using oxen. “There are no bulls on my labels,” he clarifies. So far, this has not convinced the energy drink giant from Salzburg.

“We have until mid-March for an arbitration between the parties and we will do our best. After that, the patent office will have to start the process and decide on the case,” said Muggittu’s lawyer Mauro Intagliata.

A look at Great Britain gives the Sardinian winegrower hope. There, Red Bull took the gin manufacturer ‘Bullards’ to court in 2022 for alleged similarities in name – completely in vain.
