Welcome to Albania – did you know there is an Austrian school abroad here? No? You are certainly not alone – specialists for the Austrian labor market are trained at the IT-HTL in Shkodra. The “Krone” has looked at why this is necessary – and how it actually works.
The decision was not an easy one, the tuition was not exactly cheap – but: “The training was a great opportunity, and everything that came after I owed it to the Austrian school,” says Juli Reka in excellent German. The 30-year-old attended the first year of “Shkolla Austriake”, the Austrian IT HTL in Shkodra, Albania. The school is now 15 years old and Juli now works as a software developer at Motrada, an Austrian IT company.
