Bad news on Wednesday for the 63 employees and more than 200 creditors of the Neuzeug-based company: the parquet specialist company is bankrupt and has debts of 9.1 million euros, according to Creditreform.
Customers did not pay
The reasons given for the financial difficulties were an increase in the credit line for the construction of a showroom that was not granted and problems with customers. The Hochrieser GmbH is said to have carried out screed work as a subcontractor for construction companies, which was not paid under the guise of warranty defects.
In addition to the headquarters in Neuzeug, the company, which has gone bankrupt, also has branches in Bruck an der Leitha and in Knittelfeld, floor and screed work, the construction of sports halls and acoustics. With liquidator Norbert Mooseder taking over the management of Hochrieser GmbH in the restructuring process, which will continue.
