In Slovenia, fuel prices are set by the government every two weeks. Now it’s over again.
From Tuesday, a liter of regular petrol from the highway will cost 1,424 euros, or 1.2 cents more than before. Diesel will be 2.9 cents more expensive to 1,461 per litre. As the Slovenian Ministry of Energy announced on Monday, the new prices will remain in effect until July 3.
Calculated per method
For a year now, the regulated fuel prices in the neighboring country have been calculated according to a method based on the development of the price of petroleum products on the world market and the development of the exchange rate of the US dollar against the euro. This scheme, which was introduced last year for twelve months, will expire in two days.
Watch out for gas stations along the highway!
However, the cabinet is considering extending the price regulation for another year, the STA news agency reports. Price regulation in Slovenia only applies to petrol stations outside the motorway network, at motorway petrol stations the operators set the prices.
