It is a sunny day in the pedestrian area of Eisenstadt. People go for a walk, the pub gardens are well stocked. “Today consumer prices, unemployment rates and US gross domestic product will be announced,” says Matthias G., looking at his mobile phone during the meeting with the “Krone”. The 39-year-old has little interest in political events or current events. He is more interested in economic data. He is a speculator, a trader.
