In his remarks, Judge Francisco de Jorge continues to collect testimonies within the framework of the investigation of Rubiales for the crimes of sexual assault and coercion, a case that recently added three other defendants : former women’s coach Jorge Vilda; the men’s team director, Albert Luque; and the RFEF Marketing Director, Rubén Rivera.

The judge summoned the final three on October 10 under investigation after Jenni Hermoso’s brother and a friend confirmed the pressure received for the Pachuca player in Mexico to publicly justify kissing Rubiales. In Luque’s case, his statement was postponed to the 16th.

Days later, on October 20, the judge will question the men’s coach, Luis de la Fuente, as witnesses; former RFEF communications director Pablo García-Cuervo, fired on Friday; and the deputy director of that department, Enrique Yunta.

The round of statements will continue on October 27, when Rubiales’ chief of staff, José María Timón, will testify; the psychologist of the women’s team, Javier López Vallejo, and the person in charge of compliance at the Federation, Javier Puyol.
