Electric car maker Tesla must make improvements to almost all of its US-registered vehicles due to incorrect font size on the warning lights. The recall affects 2.2 million cars from the S, X, 3 and Y model series, as well as the new Cybertruck.
“Hazard lights with smaller font sizes can make important safety information on the dashboard more difficult to read,” the NHTSA, the highway safety authority, said Friday. There is a greater risk of accidents, the report said.
Several recalls in recent months
The electric car pioneer has started installing free software updates online to fix the problem. A week ago, Tesla recalled almost 200,000 cars due to problems with a display, and two months ago more than two million cars due to changes to the autopilot.
