XXXLutz buys half of the Polish furniture group BRW with 7900 employees. However, this will continue as an independent company.
Wels-based furniture giant XXXLutz (370 furniture stores in 13 countries, €5.3 billion turnover) is shopping again: it will acquire 50 percent of the Polish group BRW (Black Red White Group). Until now, it belonged entirely to a Luxembourg holding company, backed by Polish businessmen.
trade and production
The BRW Group has two pillars: In addition to 93 trading companies (Poland, Slovakia, Belarus), BRW also has about 20 production locations where furniture is produced and exported to more than 50 countries. BRW’s last known turnover was just under 500 million euros, and it employs 7,900 people. “It will remain an independent company with its own management, just like we have with other partnerships,” confirms Lutz spokesman Thomas Saliger.
