Financial juggler René Benko was actually scheduled to appear before the COFAG-U committee on Thursday. But the failed real estate speculator canceled – even though he was going to Vienna.
As the ‘Krone’ learned from insider circles, Benko’s private jet landed in Schwechat on Thursday and docked at the VIP terminal there. According to reports, Benko himself was also on board the private plane.
Penalty approved unanimously
Why didn’t he reach parliament? People don’t know. It didn’t do him much good. An SPÖ motion to impose a fine was unanimously accepted in the rules meeting on Thursday after the surveys. In addition, Benko needs to be reloaded.
