The approximately 60,000 employees in the electrical and electronics industry can breathe a sigh of relief. In the third round of negotiations, the employer and union were able to agree on a new collective labor agreement. KV wages increase by 7.5 percent.
6.8 percent is planned for actual wages, as the PRO-GE and GPA unions announced on Monday evening. The increases apply from May 1.
The new collective labor agreement minimum wage/minimum basic salary is 2,406.56 euros gross per month. Student income, allowances and travel expenses will each increase by 7.5 percent. The surcharge for the second service will be increased by 78 percent to one euro per hour.
Qualification offensive agreed
“A deal in this round and at this level was only possible through the factory meetings,” union chief negotiators Reinhold Binder (PRO-GE) and Karl Dürtscher (GPA) said in a press release. In addition, the collective labor agreement negotiating partners have agreed on a qualification offensive. Employees without relevant vocational training will be qualified as skilled workers in the coming years.
