A liter of petrol is almost 2.10 euros and diesel up to 2 euros after the last increase in crude oil
The oil price in the international markets continues without interruption for Spanish drivers who refuel at petrol stations, despite the prevailing bonus of 20 euro cents. At the start of the week, crude oil maintained the volatility seen in recent days. As of Monday, it moved about $120 a barrel, although it eventually fell 1% to $119.
The reopening of the Chinese economy, after another hiatus prompted by its authorities’ Covid-Zero policy to halt outbreaks in recent weeks, has shocked world demand for oil, which has pushed prices up. This also applies to the tension in Ukraine, due to the impact of European sanctions. And the fact that summer is approaching and fuel consumption is rising in Spain.
With all these ingredients, fuel prices continue to rise. Unsurprisingly, this will happen in the coming days as they pick up the latest crude oil price hikes to the current $120. That of petrol 95 is on average already close to 2.10 euros per liter. Yesterday it sold for about 2.08 euros, which is practically 25 cents more than when the anti-crisis plan was launched. That is, they have already eaten the effect of official aid. In the case of diesel, it is on average at 1.96 euros per litre, nine cents more than the price he recorded at the beginning of April.
The market also expects producer countries (OPEC and Russia) to implement barrel increases agreed last week on July 1. At the same time, US authorities issued permits to allow oil companies Repsol, Chevron (US) and Eni (Italy) to export oil and natural gas from Venezuela.
