The Public Prosecution Service is investigating the boss of the bankrupt company Scalahaus. It concerns more than 21 million euros.
The whole, unadulterated truth came out in court. The bankruptcy of prefab housing provider Scalahaus from Eugendorf near Salzburg is even more extensive than previously assumed. 461 creditors registered claims of more than 23 million euros. The court recognized 21.17 million euros of this in the exam day statute on Monday. Until now it was ‘only’ assumed that the debts would amount to 13 million euros.
House builders Mario Reiter and Daniela Moßhammer are two of the countless victims. The Bürmooser transferred almost 51,000 euros to the bankrupt company. They received nothing but the submission plans.
“The Money Is Gone”
‘The money is gone’, Moßhammer is sure. The credit protection association KSV1870, which classifies creditors’ chances of success as “marginal”, takes a similar view. All the model homes have already been sold – the proceeds cover only a fraction of the debt.
Scalahaus invoiced until shortly before bankruptcy
Last year, Scalahaus’s balance sheet showed a loss of millions. All this did not stop the provider from making demands on customers until the very end. The prosecutor’s office is now investigating.
Particularly daring: Scalahaus ensured until the end that all outstanding projects would be completed. Affected homebuilders should get offers from partner companies. “We and many others have received nothing at all,” Moßhammer is beside himself.
