The “Krone” now has the figures for the KV increases for metalheads, which will apply from November. Because the autumn wage round will remain flat this year, because a two-year agreement was agreed last year after tough negotiations. We show how much more the almost 200,000 metalheads get now.
According to trade unionist Reinhold Binder, last year was “the most serious labor conflict in sixty years”. Ultimately, employers and employees agreed on an average increase of 8.6 percent. The deal was therefore lower than the underlying inflation of 9.6 percent. That’s different this year. The agreement will see incomes rise sharply from November 1, 2024 – even though the domestic industry is in a difficult situation.
