The “crown” now has it in black and white, which was previously denied: Documents from the Braunau labor office show who will lose their jobs at the motorcycle manufacturer: 550 employees of KTM AG, KTM Forschungs & Entwicklung GmbH and KTM have registered for dismissal Components GmbH.
The three notifications of intended termination of the employment relationship bear the signatures of the management and the works council. And they show that, contrary to other claims, it is already clear who will lose their jobs. In addition, the AMS Braunau office documents list 550 employees about to be laid off. Previously it was assumed that this would involve 500 people.
KTM AG: According to the AMS newspaper, 200 employees (84 of whom are women) have registered for redundancy at the AMS: 110 with higher education, 67 with specialist training, 21 with an apprenticeship contract and two semi-skilled employees. KTM AG has a total of 2,387 employees. The majority of those who registered for termination are between 25 and 50 years old (139); among those over 55, this is 22 employees of the AG.
KTM F&E GmbH: According to the AMS announcement, more than a third of the core team is involved in research and development: 182 people with higher education, 95 with specialist training and three with an apprenticeship will have to leave. There are a total of 280 people, of which 17 are women.
KTM Components GmbH: Of the 476 permanent employees, 70 have registered for dismissal, including approximately twenty semi-skilled employees. Almost half have been with the company for more than ten years, and 34 employees have been with Components for between one and ten years.
The AMS paper must state how the selection was made. It says “due to the continuation scenario according to the restructuring plan”. This means: KTM knows who should go.
