Treasury defaulters are reduced to 7,037 with debt of 17,710 million

The Tax Authorities released its list of defaulters on Thursday, the ninth since the Ministry of Finance, led by Cristóbal Montoro, decided in 2015 to publish this “black document” with the names of both natural and legal persons with a higher debt of up to 600,000 euros. the treasury, a figure that was reduced last year from the million euros that had been valid until then.

The new list for June shows a total of 7,037 taxpayers, 3.3% less than in December, who owe 17,700 million euros to the Treasury, also a figure lower than the 18,200 million in the previous publication.

Of all debtors, 1,387 were natural persons, with a debt of 2,125 million euros, in line with the previous list. The number of legal entities that appear amounts to a total of 5,650, below the 5,910 of the December publication, with debts for an equally lower amount, of 15,585 million euros.

According to data from the Tax Authorities, a total of 580 left the list at the end of June compared to December, with an amount of 1,164 million euros. “The delisting may be due to the full or partial cancellation of debts subject to publication, as well as obtaining deferment or suspension of debt before the date of data collection (31/12/21)”, they indicated from the organism.

In contrast, a total of 340 debtors that did not appear in June 2021 are included in the list, with a total debt of 636 million euros.

In addition, in the months elapsed in 2022, a total of 3,077 debtors that had outstanding debts as of August 31, 2021 and for which they were listed on December 30, generated income from those debts amounting to 638 million. On the other hand, revenues of 81.8 million have been realized corresponding to debtors that have prevented them from appearing on this ninth list.
