User desperate – “Triangle of Death” places popular sports watches LAHM

Date:

Many owners of Garmin Sports Watch are currently confronted with a major problem: their devices fall, restart and get stuck in the so -called “Triangle of Death” -a blue Garmin logo that no longer disappears. The manufacturer has now confirmed the problem and is working on a solution.

According to countless reports from internet forums, the error mainly occurs when users start on GPS -based activities, such as running or cycling. The affected watches-inclusive, in particular models of the Forerunner series (255, 955 Solar, 965) and the Venu 3-Dan starts unexpectedly, but break the process and only shows the Garmin logo. The problem was therefore called “Triangle of Death” (Triangle of Death) in the community.

Garmin responds and offers an emergency solution
Garmin has now published an official statement on his website: “We are aware of the condition and are currently investigating the cause. We thank you for your patience while working on a solution. In many cases, however, this does not help.

Factory setting as the last resort
A functioning but drastic solution is reset to the factory settings. This removes all stored data, but some users report that their watches will work normally afterwards. Garmin offers detailed instructions for this because the procedure varies depending on the model.

Possible cause: failed update
It is still unclear what exactly causes the problem. Many experts suspect that a defective software update is the trigger. Because the disorders mainly take place for GPS activities, an error in the GPS software or an incorrect update of the satellite data can be responsible. According to Garmin, Garmin works with high pressure on a permanent solution.

Until then, many users only have to wait – or the risky reset at factory settings.
