1280 euros per year – 2.7 percent more wages for construction employees

From 1 May, employees receive 2.7 percent more money in construction. With a competent employee, the 1280 euros per year corresponds without allowances and premiums.

According to the Bau-Holz (GBH) Union, wages at entry level are the highest in Austria. The new collective agreement Minimum entry -woon is 2786.58 euros, the new for trained employees 3271.35 euros. The agreement was already reached in the spring round.

“We were able to conclude in political and economically difficult times. An important success and a strong sign of the social partners of the construction, ”said GBH and FSG boss Josef Musitsch (Spö). Three years of recession in the construction sector, rising costs and falling employment have strongly influenced the negotiations.

The construction of economic engineer must be kept alive and unemployment must be combated. In view of the rising prices, employees would be sustainably supported by the wage plus. About 100,000 employees consist of the collective agreement.
