The number of vacancies in Upper Austria rose slightly compared to January, the number of job seekers fell – despite this development in February, one should not be fooled: the crisis in many economic sectors continues. This also has consequences for specialists in the field of personnel advice such as Epunkt.
From the service technician for heating systems to the vehicle technician for construction machines: 233 Open jobs are currently displayed on the EPAT website in Upper Austria. How does the current situation, which a savings course needs for most companies, has an impact on the search for staff? “We see that companies are less but more focused. The focus is on the decisive spirit, “says Epunkt -founder and director Daniel Marwan.
25 years ago, the company was located in Linz the first in Austria to offer an online application option. They started as an IT specialist exchange with which IT specialists can be found by potential employers. The first website was sensitive to errors, data management ran over Excel, Marwan thinks back.
Today you relate to recruitment supported by AI and, in addition to the head office in Linz, you also have locations in Vienna, Graz and Salzburg. The crisis mood in the industry, which has long taken other industries, did not stop at the point.
Restructuring measures have occurred over the past two years and staff reductions have also been needed. The four -day week introduced in 2022 with the same content was stopped after a year and a half. “It no longer fits our working reality,” Marwan explains.
