The American group Mondelez will soon cause a sweet surprise on the supermarket shelf: although many sweet tooths are still irritated by the shrinking Milka panels, the chocolate manufacturer suddenly brings a new size to the market …
190 grams of chocolate pleasure should now make those Milka fans happy who-quote from a spokeswoman for Mondelez- “because a little more”. Between the classic small and well-known large panel is the new Milka size to serve its own “user event”. However, what that means exactly remains unclear.
Delivery to supermarkets is already active
There are supposed to be five varieties and the new table has been delivered since this week.
The varieties of Alpine Milk, Noisette, Zartherb and White have only weighed 90 instead of 100 grams since the beginning of the year. The large boards also lost 20 grams.
The group calls the measure “inevitable” – other manufacturers such as Knights of Lindt keep their packaging sizes stable, but increases the prices.
The fact that the chocolate pet suddenly thinks bigger, because the content of some Milka boards was reduced at the start of the year. Consumer protectors criticized the American group, spoke about a “foggy package”. Mondelez justified herself with the rapid rise in cocoa prices and the high costs of energy, packaging and transport.
It is still to be seen whether the new product line ensures sweet joy or bitter aftertaste …
