The internship positions in the summer are as much to ask as a rarely as a “crown” round call in the upper Austria. Nevertheless, late people still have opportunities for a ferial work. Because some companies are looking for in the short term and Swiss Post also needs delivery people.
“This year, so many have registered, it was huge! In recent years there were more difficult people to get trainees.” – Viktoria Brenner, director of the Grellinger Pastry Shop in Gmunden, has granted all her six ferial jobs for the summer. About 30 young people had applied.
Why is there a real hurry to the summer jobs after a burglary during Corona Times? “I think the parents see that the children benefit from it. With us you learn coffee and customer contact, that is more appreciated. And you earn a good money with us,” says Brenner. In the Gmundner Pastry Shop, the trainees receive just over 2000 euros gross.
Jobs are advertised, but already forgiven
The state of the job exchange of Upper Austria is currently still active in 171 advertisements for ferial work. But most of them say that the round of the “Krone” is said: “We have all forgive all places!” So also with the Koller -Bootverhuur in the Attersee. “This year we were full within two weeks,” reports Junior Baas Julia Koller. Their ferial jobs, however, belong to the most popular, because the students are in a summer while they are working on a scaffolding in Attersee – there are 2092 euros gross per month.
“Jobs are currently coming in”
Michael Peham from the youth service of the state of Upper Austria, who manages the Ferial Job Exchange, also confirms the strong question this year: “The companies have told us that they will find suitable young people quickly.” Nevertheless, late students still have opportunities, says Peham: “jobs are still coming in.”
There are also vacancies: 380 suppliers were searched for the summer, some places are still free.
