Mistress positive – Holiday in Tyrol, according to tourists, very popular

Date:

The most important season when it comes to summer vacation starts in a few weeks. What does the question look like for our state? The “Tyrolean Krone” recorded the mood for a few tourist associations.

The most important holiday season is closer to major steps. While many Tyroleans pack their suitcases and travel to Italy, Croatia, Greece and Co., holidaymakers from abroad, but also from other federal states, move to us. The “Krone” asked a few tourist associations (TVB) what the demand for vacation in Tyrol looks like.

“More than 70 percent of the possible occupation”
From the capital you can hear that 962,000 arrivals and 1.99 million overnight stays were counted last year. The question is currently higher compared to 2024. How many bookings this is that it cannot be said in concrete terms. The reason for this: The price and booking monitoring of the Tyrol advertisements can only be increased by the level of searches for different platforms. “In the most important summer months of July and August, there are currently a demand for a requirement of more than 70 percent of the possible capacity use,” says Barbara Plattner, the director of Innsbruck Tourism. Speaking of occupation: there are 24,503 guest beds in all six experiential regions. The top 5 names of holidaymakers are Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the US. You want to attract holidaymakers with highlights such as the Klim World Cup, the Bridge Beat Festival, the Tour through Austria or the festival weeks of old music.

“Don’t forget that the guests book in the very short term”
In the meantime, Viktoria Veerid-Walser, the director of TVB Kitzbühel, calculates that “we had more than 431,000 nights in the summer of 2024. Throughout the year, 49 percent of the night stay for the summer months”. The demand for this year is similar to last summer. “In short, we notice that guests are now booking in the very short term.”

Most bookings come from Germany (50%), Austria (20%), Great -Britain and Switzerland, each with four percent, as well as the Czech Republic and the US with two percent each. More than 8100 guest beds are available in Kitzbühel.

Classic in the Alps, the Generali Open or the Beach Volleyball State Championships are offered as highlights.

Zillertal “usually well booked” according to the survey
Change from location to the Zillertal. “A quick study among the hosts showed that summer is usually well booked. Fortunately, some report a more positive use than in the past summer season,” explains Ronald Felder, the director of Zillertal Tourism. The strongest source market for the fresh summer in the Zillertal is Germany, followed by the Netherlands, Austria, Great Britain and Switzerland. There are approximately 51,500 beds available, calculating fields.

And with which tourist attraction do you want to attract guests? “In addition to our many sports, cultural and family events, these are, for example, the new open-air gondola, Skyride Ahorn ‘in Myrhofen, the sunrise Yoga on the Spieljoch or the Hunter Open Air in Finkenberg, Velden.

Great optimism also in St. Anton am Arlberg
Almost 11,500 guest beds are available in the St. Anton am Arlberg region. “Significant data is still missing for the booking situation, but the mood of our companies is very positive,” says Gerhard Eichhorn, the deputy general manager of TVB St. Anton. Most holidaymakers come from Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.

Eichhorn mentions the Arlberg Giro, the Arlberger Waldbeisser or the Mountain Yoga Festival as this year.

All four tourist associations emphasize that you will look at the guests with great expectations and trust and look forward to the guests. And is only arranged or responsible at the end of the year.
