More than 103,500 customers meant a record value last year – “and are a strong sign of trust in the WiFi brand,” says Doris Hummer, president of the Chamber of Commerce in the Upper Austria. Just as the course offer is constantly renewed, there is now also a conversion of the main location of the training facility in Linz.
From 1966, parts of the WiFi-Oberbesterreich building in Linz undergone, which is now undergoing a general renovation step by step. With the conversion of the access area and the auditorium you will start in a few days. “This is followed by three more large phases,” says Doris Hummer, president of the Chamber of Commerce in the Upper Austria, who financing this modernization. Part one of the renovation measures costs more than ten million euros, which will probably run until 2030.
“The goal is to create an inspiring environment in which learning, networks and encounters are reconsidered,” says Hummer about the house, which has been further developed into an educational campus.
More than 103,500 customers in the 2024/25 course year, 2800 trainers – the figures that the WiFi above Austria presents on Tuesday show that you are well on the road. Of the 10,000 courses, approximately 14 percent are exchanged annually and adapted to current needs. Although concentrated knowledge transfer on artificial intelligence should not be missing before 2025/26, there are new offers that are at first sight somewhat unusual, such as courses for potential investigators from the department store, a forklift course course on Hungarian or training in underwater lasses.
The business international training area, which offers tailor -made solutions for companies, is developing well. With 14,500 participants, the number can be kept approximately the same, Doris Cuturi star, the curator of the WiFi above Austria. On the other hand, the situation under foreign languages is a challenge, where the demand for German courses decreased here. This is related to the loss of financing for companies through the Austrian Integration Fund. “The offer of German as a foreign language was encouraged – the financing has not been around for several months,” says Harald Wolfslhner, head of the WiFi -above Austria.
