Minister of Economic Affairs Hattmannsdorfer in the large “krone” interview with Georg Wailand: a new package of measures is necessary so that Austria is in a European comparison of last place.
The latest news of economic development is – finally – positive. Economic Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer goes one step further in the Crown interview with Georg Wailand: “This clarification is very gratifying, but if a country like Austria grows less than the EU average for five years, then there is a lot of work to do.
The top task is to come from the crawl strip to the catch -up lane: “There is light at the end of the tunnel. We need people who are now tackling now. That is why the right time is to rely on performance stimuli.”
In particular, the minister states that the number of effective working hours must be re -increased, that innovations are promoted and that the export quota is again increased. Hattmannsdorfer: “Despite saving savings, we will not shorten the study, that would be the wrong signal. We must become world leaders in the most important technologies.”
There will be a thousand net
An important course has already been made in the first hundred days of the new government:
“We have abolished the educational leave, we have reorganized the extra benefits in the case of unemployment and there will be a tax -free performance bonus per employee of a maximum of thousand euros if the company wants this. This is a real reward from the employees with a thousand thousand, there is no tax on it.”
And before 2026 there should be the next big step: “If you want to continue to work in the retirement, a so -called flat tax applies to only 25 percent.
Competition is hungry, not just in Asia
With these measures, the location of Austria is to become more competitive again: “We have to change the mindset, ie the basic attitude: Austria should be able to become powerful again and resist the competition. Otherwise we would risk our prosperity. Because the competition is hungry, not only in Asia, but also in Europe when I think of Poland or the TSech Republic.”
All mentioned measures must motivate employees, for companies there will be enormous changes in the energy landscape parallel. The final negotiations are still active, but the goal is clear: the energy costs must be reduced to an international bearable level due to a new structure. Due to a whole bundle of new regulations that must be well thought out.
Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer with full power: “With such major changes it is important that you integrate everyone who is well struck, so it takes some time.”
And he concludes his panoramic representation with the sentence: “Politics can be assessed on important figures and less on the strong statements for the gallery.”
