The Vorarlberg Private Cheese Dairy RUPP took over the Spanish family business Juan Martinez SL on July 1. At RUPP AG you continue to grow on growth. The purchase price was not mentioned.
The location of Juan Martinez SL – the company has nearly 50 people – is located in Siero in the Asturium region in North Spain. The name Juan Martinez is retained. “This step is a great opportunity to strengthen everything we have built up as a family for generations,” said Sara Martinez, who will take over the management of her father Juan Martinez in the fourth generation.
It hopes for “more stability, more resources and more growth capacity” by taking it over. John Broekmans, CEO of RUPP AG, sees it in the same way and emphasizes that the two companies have a major synergy potential because of their almost identical orientation.
International property
RUPP AG has sales locations in Europe, the Central East and Asia, but also invests strategically in new production capacities. Production facilities of the company in Hörbranz (district BREENZ) are also operated in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Ireland and China.
After the takeover of Juan Martinez SL, RUPP AG employs around 1,000 people, including 570 in Vorarlberg. RUPP recently achieved an annual turnover in reach between 350 and 360 million euros.
