The 51st edition of the Cartagena International Film Festival (FICC51) has received more than 600 shorts that will compete in the various categories of the festival. The selected works will be announced in October, the organization reported yesterday. The FICC will be held in Cartagena from November 20 to 26, 2022. In total, 650 works have been received and all those short films, short films or documentaries whose duration does not exceed 30 minutes and whose production date is after 1 January 2021 are admitted. foreign short films, has registered 599 short films and Murcine, the specific section for filmmakers from the Murcia region, has registered 51 short films.
The selected short films will be announced at the end of October, will be screened in the week of the festival and will compete for the 3,000 euros awarded for the Best Short Film in the Official Section. In addition, there are prizes for the best direction, photography, script and interpretation.
