Journalist Alejandra Herranz presents the first edition of the ‘Telediario’ (3 pm) of La 1 –it started yesterday and followed everything to do with Isabel II for several hours–. It thus takes up the space of Ana Blanco, who left the daily TVE news after 32 years, to face a new current affairs project on the public channel.
The new main presenter of the ‘Telediario’ will also continue to be part of the ñ Edition team, a task she has been doing for four years.
During that time, he was responsible for reporting on the pandemic, the Filomena storm, participation in the main election events or the eruption of the volcano La Palma. He also broadcast, together with Ana Roldán, the presentation of the Princess of Asturias Awards. And from abroad, it has edited information about the attack on the United States Capitol, the fall of Afghanistan at the hands of the Taliban, the latest NATO summit or the war in Ukraine.
Herranz, who regularly presented the ‘Telediario’ during Ana Blanco’s vacations and absences, joined the company 16 years ago as a journalist at RNE. She was deputy director of the program ‘Los Mañanas’, as well as editor and presenter of Canal 24 Horas, where she directed several cultural programs. Prior to RTVE, she was an editor and host of the news programs for the Telecinco network.
