‘La Voz’, celebrating ten years of live music

Antena 3 presents the new edition of the format, which celebrates a special anniversary with Laura Pausini, Luis Fonsi, Pablo López and Antonio Orozco as ‘coaches’

In times of uncertainty about the foreseeable future, Antena 3 brings fall evening entertainment on a massive scale with the aim of bringing live music to the lips of new talent. For example, ‘La Voz’ is returning soon, the popular ‘talent show’ by Andalusian Eva González, which will start its ninth edition in Spain, the fourth since its broadcast on the Atresmedia chain. It does it again with the singers Laura Pausini, Luis Fonsi, Pablo López and Antonio Orozco as ‘coaches’, who will have to turn their seats on the set to form a team of participants with whom they will try to win the program , which has already become a classic of our television.

The format, created by the communications group in collaboration with Boomerang TV, shows no signs of exhaustion over time. It premiered just ten years ago on another network, Telecinco, and in 2018 it jumped to Antena 3, where it became a success. In the previous season, it had an average audience share of 16.5% in all galas and the final brought the audience to 16.7% and over 1.8 million followers, achieving its best marks among young people (16.6% ), among viewers aged 35 to 44 (18%) or over 65 (18.2%), among other audiences.

The new season of ‘La Voz’ will be special because it will pay tribute to the ten years of the musical competition in Spain. According to the Director of Entertainment at Atresmedia TV, Carmen Ferreiro, there will be important news, including the punctual return of the first singers who opened the format in 2012: David Bisbal, Melendi, Rosario and Malú. In the final phase of the attacks, the four artists will share the set with the ‘coaches’ of the current edition. “There is a chemistry that crosses the screen,” the guideline emphasizes.

Laura Pausini also returns to ‘La Voz’ two years after her last performance: “It’s like coming home.” The Italian confesses that if possible, she would sign “every year” to participate in the program. “You can’t always. Antonio Orozco also praised the Antena 3 format, pointing out that participating in ‘La Voz’ is “an incredible gift” that changed his life “forever”. «I experience the most special moments in life. I don’t lose a second of attention. I feel like I’ve reached a ceiling. You can’t aspire to more in life,” says the Catalan, who also hopes that this “love story” he experienced with the competition will also be passed on to the public.

Finally, the executive director of Entertainment for Boomerang TV, Encarna Pardo, underlines that the secret to the success of ‘La Voz’ lies in “the truth, passion, love and affection” of all the professionals working on the program, including the ” cars’, which are ‘one hundred percent’ involved with the participants. “If there are no cameras, they wait to call them.
