‘Chatungla’ wins four Azahar Awards

The production of Teatro Silfo and ‘Los musicians de Bremen’, by Nacho Vilar Producciones, were the big winners, with a total of seven awards

The third of the awards for this proposal went to Belter Souls, for Best Original Music.

The awards didn’t end here for Nacho Vilar Producciones, as the producer and distributor won the Best Company award and another of his productions, ‘Pedro Cano, pinta el viaje’, was doubly recognized as Sergio Alarcón won the Best Actor award. protagonist for giving life to the painter of Blanca Pedro Cano and David Terol won the Best Sound Space. In addition, Nacho Vilar argued for a performing arts law and more support for this professional group.

‘You had to be a woman! (A History of Spanish Theater by the Name of a Woman)’ by Yampo Teatro, won two awards: Best Direction, for Rocío Carrasco Chicano, and Best Lighting, which went to Jesús Palazón.

Salvador Riquelme won the Best Supporting Actor award for his portrayal of the characters Amigo 1 and Amigo 2 in Teatro de la Delivery’s ‘Torres’. The prize for Best Dramaturgy was awarded to Marina A. Cabañero for her work in ‘Bernarda Alba, el musical’, a version of Federico García Lorca’s classic by the company Agosto del 36. For the best costume, the prize went to Paco Beltran for ‘Malnacido’ by Los Menos. This V edition of the Azahar Awards wanted to recognize the Cartagena company La Murga with a special prize, for its 40th anniversary, for which happy birthday was sung, and gave its honorary prize to Titeremurcia, the international doll festival of the region, which is celebrating its 21st edition from December 4 to 13.
