Murcia organizes a conference for show technicians

It will offer workshops and courses to promote professions related to the performing arts

From October 31 to November 24, the City of Murcia will host the first national technical training sessions targeting current and future professionals in the performing arts and entertainment industry, an initiative that is part of the actions of the Municipal Plan for Employment and Economic Promotion 2021-23, included in the agreement between the Murcia City Council and the Murcia Technical Show Association. The event is subsidized by the Consistory with 22,440 euros.

They will have the participation of teachers and specialists and will offer workshops and courses to promote technical professions related to the performing arts, entertainment and events, the specialization of this group and the transition from the educational field to the active professional.

Professionals such as Pedro Yagüe -winner of three Max awards as a lighting designer-, Elena Sanz, Diogo Nunes, Vicente Briñas, Antonio Navarro, Ana Alonso, José Gallardo, Luis López, Asier Suso and Juan Carlos Pascual, among others, have been confirmed in this first days of these characteristics on the national territory promoted by the technical sector itself. In Murcia, the venues are the Víctor Villegas Auditorium and Congress Center -the main venue-, the Párraga Center and the Murcia Circus Theatre.

It thus aims to create a permanent educational framework in the region of Murcia that influences the unemployed, active professionals, recycling in new technologies and future professionals to improve their specialization and their transition from the educational to the professional field.

The Mayor of Murcia, José Antonio Serrano, explained that “one of the objectives of the government team is to promote and encourage economic development, the promotion of employment and entrepreneurship in the municipality, something that aligns with the objectives of these conferences that will Positioning Murcia as a benchmark in the sector at national level».

This action is part of the Employment and Local Development Plan 2021-2023 within the Training, Entrepreneurship and Employment axes, which aims to develop a series of actions to promote the vocational qualification of the unemployed in strategic sectors with job opportunities, promotion of entrepreneurship, promoting the professionalization of self-employment, promoting the training and digital upskilling of professionals in economic sectors affected by the pandemic.

The Murcia Technical Show Association was founded in March 2020 and was born with 22 registered employees. In a year’s time, about 60 were added and currently there are almost a hundred. It is part of the show’s technical associations platform, which currently consists of 16 associations from all communities.
