The rising stars of Belfast’s raucous music scene will be featured on BBC Radio 1Xtra’s programme, which will end with Northern Ireland’s exceptional talent.
DJ Target will dedicate the entire show to Belfast on Tuesday evening, April 12, to celebrate local talent and learn more about the city’s unique and growing music scene.
BBC Radio 1Xtra will connect with artists and DJs from the region and speak to special guests about the city’s growing awareness of the UK’s music scene.
The show will include interviews with Belfast-based producer The Kunal Show, who was only 17 years old, like Big Sean and Hit Boy, and currently works with American producer, rapper, singer and songwriter Timbaland.
Speaking before the show, DJ Target says: “I am so excited about the Belfast Landing Tour. At 1Xtra we all strive to find and support the best new talent, no matter where they are in the UK. This tour is a great way to connect with the area and the lights of Belfast. Be sure to participate tonight!”
The special is part of the UK Touchdown Tour broadcast by BBC Radio 1Xtra, which will see stations in 22 different cities in April, including; Belfast, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Cardiff, Bristol, Brighton, Edinburgh and Liverpool.
