A new clip featuring footage of the Oscar-winning Belfast stars Kenneth Brana has been released to celebrate their digital, Blu-ray and DVD release.
The release is packed with all-new bonus content, including a heart-thumping alternative ending with Kenneth Branagh, deleted scenes, and artists on seeing awesome Prana and her awesome characters and filming locations.
It also includes additional personal childhood memories of the cast that immerse the audience in a true story about the strength of family and community.
In the clip above, writer and director Kenneth Branagh, Catriona Balfe, who plays the mother and the mother, Judi Dench, who plays the grandmother, discusses characteristics of Irish women that range from intense love to laughter and loving natures, and to having a mother and grandmother. The film was a personal reminder of Prana’s family.
Last month, Prana won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for a Childhood Film.
“It is a great honor for my family and a great honor for a wonderful city and great people,” he said as he collected the statues.
He added, “This story is a search for joy and hope in the face of violence and loss. We have lost many people in the street.”
He continued: “We miss and love them and we will never forget them and we will never forget all those who are lost in human history to the wonderful city of Belfast on the wonderful island of Ireland. It means a lot.”
The film will be released digitally on April 11, followed by Blu-ray and DVD on April 25.
