The American Taylor Swift has become the big winner with four prizes
Catalan singer Bad Gyal won the MTV Europe Music Award (EMA) for the ‘best Spanish artist’ on Sunday after beating other prominent artists of the year 2022 in the popular vote.
Specifically, the author of songs like ‘La Prendo’ or ‘Fiebre’ competed in this category with the singers Rosalía, Quevedo, Fito & Fitipaldis and Dani Fernández.
At the age of 25, Alba Farelo i Solé, better known by her stage name Bad Gyal, stood out for her music in which she combines genres such as reggaeton, dancehall and trap. In 2020 he also won the Latin Music Italian Awards for his song ‘Alocao’ with Omar Montes.

The ‘Best K-Pop’ went to Lisa; ‘Best Hip-Hop’ for Nicky Minaj; the ‘Best Rock’ belongs to Musa; in ‘Best Alternative’ the band Gorillaz won; and in “Dear R&B,” Chlöe. South Korean group Seventeen in turn won for ‘Best New’ and ‘Best Push’, but BTS shone in ‘Biggest Fans’.
