The Murcian communicator presents his latest book, ‘Retratarte’
The Murcian journalist Carlos del Amor presents his latest ‘Retratarte. When every look is a story’. The event will take place in the Aula de Cultura de LA VERDAD in the Assembly Hall of the Cajamurcia Foundation and admission is free until full capacity is reached.
In this book, the journalist presents 36 portraits from the 15th century to the 21st century, by 33 authors, such as Caravaggio, Tamara de Lempicka, Lucian Freud or Modigliani, recreating the lives of the protagonists of the paintings as well as the artists themselves , while at the same time analyzing how they are reflected in their way of painting, using dialogues, interior monologues and other sources.
In a recent interview in LA VERDAD, del Amor he lamented that his previous ‘bestseller’, ‘Emocionarte. The double life of paintings could not be presented in Murcia and that is why “I want to return, especially to see the faces of so many people I appreciate.” Moreover, he also revealed that “it will be my first Christmas presentation”.
