My Left Nut, the new Belfast comedy-drama that airs online on BBC Three, has been nominated for Digital Broadcasting Awards.
The show, written by local rookies Michael Patrick and Usain Kern, was nominated for Best Dramatic Program.
The series was filmed in Northern Ireland with funding from Northern Ireland Screen.
Below is schoolboy Mick (played by apprentice Nathan Coen Orao) and his journey after discovering a lump in his testicles.
He can’t tell his father, who died seven years ago. He can’t tell his mom Patricia (Sinead Kennan) because she has a million other things on her plate. He can’t tell his classmates, because the rumors about the bulge in his pants are the opposite… and he’s desperate not to complicate things with his girlfriend.
Speaking about the nomination at Belfast Live, Michael Patrick told us, “Ocean and I are on the moon to see My Left Nut nominated for Best Drama at the Digital Broadcast Awards.
“It’s great to see that all the hard work has been so appreciated by an incredibly talented actor and crew. The show was staged and filmed in Belfast. We are so proud of it and we know there are people out there seeing Belfast on screen. A new light – we couldn’t ask for more.”
